Synology 920+ - Enquiries - 12-26-2022 Hi, Ordered the 920+, Learning Curve Starts Here, watched and subscribed, Question Im populating at first with 2 8TB drives, So will he sin the SHR ( Raid 1 ) if I add a third drive later, can I then select SH2 ( Raid 5 ) without having to reformat the other 2 drives RE: Synology 920+ - fropdaddy - 01-01-2023 You can still keep it at SHR if you add a 3rd drive in the future and it will be running as a raid 5 equivalent. You don't need to change it to SH2. The one thing that you will need to make sure of is that the 3rd drive is 8 TB or more. You can only add a drive to a SHR that is the same size or larger than the largest drive in the set. |
