H.265 Surveillance Staion - Enquiries - 12-18-2022 I've interpreted from the Plex H.265 discussion that running 10 security cameras with H.265 compression, that the CPU use with the 923+ would be high and choke my NAS from other operations like watching a large 1080P file, especially if using H.265. Correct? If so, this is a deal breaker for me and I'd think many others. RE: H.265 Surveillance Staion - ed - 12-22-2022 You can calculate estimated bandwidth with this calculator https://www.synology.com/en-uk/support/nvr_selector It depends on camera resolution and framerate. I would see no problems with 10 cameras. AMD CPU is not very good for remote CCTV though. Also, h265 is not supported for remote streaming thanks to Synology licence issues. I hope this helps. |
