Add Ram to DS 720+? - Enquiries - 02-28-2020
Hi,
I recently bought DS720+, I have decided to add additional RAM, But I am confused with to go Synology 4GB RAM or Crucial Brand(as it is very cheap) compared to Synology RAM also which is not available in online shopping in India, need to look for Synology partner here.
So my question, adding Crucial RAM, any difference in the performance and violate NAS hardware warranty? Please help to clarify.

Adding non-Synology RAM will partially invalidate the warranty, but only RAM replated parts.It does not work any different than other RAM. In fact, they use themselves Samsung RAM.Synology will try to show a warning message to try and convince you to get theirs.I hope this helps.
