Upgrading my RS3618XS - Enquiries - 04-21-2025
1. I want to upgrade my RS3618XS to full memory, it has 8 gb today so I'm planning to buy the 4 x 16GB Crucial RAMEC2133DDR4-16G. These are not ECC, would that matter and do you have Kingston 16 GB equivalents?
2. I will upgrade to NIC to 2 x 1oG SFP+ cards to link aggregate to 20GB/s.
Will these give me a powerful enough PLEX server (even though it doesn't has Quicksync) so that I can stream to 4 different devices and transcode at the same time from 4k down to 1080p or 720p.
The server wont be doing surveillance or anything else, and I already have the RS3618xs so I don't want to change if I don't need to? Wouuld I need to address and SSD for caching via a NIC combo
card?
