Synology DS923+ or Terramaster F4-423 NAS – Which Should You Buy? - Enquiries - 09-14-2024

Hi I'mthinking to get a nas mainly for my Plex media server but also for backup and storing some shared files for personal projects like a cg short
I am considering these two but I’d be open to others brands too
What would you suggest as better cost/efficiency product

Thanks

In my opinion, Synology DS920+ and QNAP TS-464 are still two reasonable choices.

Thanks for your message—I'm glad you enjoy the videos!

For your NAS needs within a £400 to £600 budget, I’d recommend looking at the Asustor AS6702T or the Synology DS423+. Both are excellent for storing your pictures and videos, giving you the flexibility you need.

Just a heads-up: while the DS423+ is decent for local Plex streaming, for remote access, you might want something with a Celeron or Intel Core i series CPU for better transcoding performance.
